  • Exterior landscape: Scenic 5-acre property with a gold mine, pond, large boulders, hillsides, horse arenas, and more.
  • Cast & crew: Up to 6 included in the base rate; maximum capacity 35. Above 6, an hourly surcharge of roughly $2/hr is added per additional person — e.g. +$25/hr for a crew of 19, up to +$50/hr at the 35-person max.

Add-Ons & Fees

  • Main Home or Guest Home: +$50/hour each — green rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and staging space.
  • Overnight stay-and-shoot: Up to 10 guests in the Main Home, or up to 16 with both homes. Nightly lodging is billed on top of hourly set time (from $699/night), and a 12% occupancy tax applies to overnight bookings.
  • Cleaning: $200 per shoot day for the western town; +$200 per home if rented.
  • Insurance processing: $70 flat fee. Proof of liability and property damage insurance is required for all productions.

Bookings are first-come, first-served. Use the "Book Your Shoot" button with your desired dates for an availability check.

Location & Drive Times

Private property in the Glen Oaks area of Temecula Wine Country. Exact address provided after booking confirmation.

  • Downtown Temecula: ~20 minutes
  • San Diego: ~1–1.25 hours
  • Orange County: ~1.25–1.5 hours
  • Los Angeles: ~1.5–2 hours (traffic-dependent)

Restaurants, medical facilities, and crew lodging are available in Downtown Temecula and along Rancho California Road.

Power & Lighting

  • Power: Western structures have a dedicated sub-panel with outlets throughout the set. Panel schedules and electrical plans available on request. Generator use allowed with prior approval.
  • Lighting: Western town faces north — soft, even daylight for morning and afternoon exteriors, with golden hour in the evening. Saloon has north- and west-facing windows for practical interior light.

Access, Parking & Load-In

  • Access: Dirt-road approach onto the property. Share vehicle sizes (grip truck, cube van, trailer) in your inquiry so we can confirm turnaround and staging.
  • Parking: Approximately 10 vehicles on site. Carpooling strongly recommended; larger production vehicles discussed case by case.
  • Load-in: Sets are within short walking distance across the 5-acre lot. No loading dock — plan for ground-level roll-in from parking and dirt staging areas.
  • Connectivity: Confirm cell coverage and Wi-Fi needs during your scout; residential Wi-Fi is available when a home is rented.

Basecamp & Facilities

  • Restrooms: One restroom in the Saloon. Each rented home adds three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen for green room, wardrobe, catering, or talent holding.
  • Larger crews: Porta-potties recommended for comfort above small-unit shoots.
  • Shade / holding: Outdoor shaded seating on site; homes provide additional indoor holding and staging.
  • Props: Interiors come period-dressed. We do not supply additional props or set dressing beyond what is already on set.

Permits & Insurance

Prior productions have typically filmed here without a City of Temecula film permit. Requirements can vary by shoot type — confirm with the relevant county or city film office for your production.

  • COI required: General liability and property damage coverage, with Old West Temecula listed as additional insured.
  • Limits: Confirmed during booking — standard production COIs are typically accepted.
  • Processing fee: $70 insurance processing fee applies to all film bookings.

Restrictions

  • Drones: Permitted; production is responsible for FAA / local compliance.
  • Quiet hours: Begin at 9 PM per local noise ordinance.
  • Stunts, fire effects, and set modifications: Case-by-case with prior written approval — detail in your inquiry.
